Introducing the National Legal Masters Association

The National Legal Masters Association (NLMA) officially launched earlier this month at the Legal Masters Conference hosted by UC Law San Francisco, beginning a new national effort to connect and understand the growing world of post-baccalaureate legal masters degrees.

At the launch reception, Board President Tom Williams framed the year ahead: The NLMA will gather perspectives from students, graduates, employers, and law schools to better understand how these degrees are being used, and how graduates are contributing within their workplaces and communities.

Help Shape the NLMA

There are several ways to get involved in this early phase:

  • Advisory Councils – The NLMA has established both a Deans Council and an Advisory Council, and we continue to invite members who are interested in helping guide the organization’s development.
  • Surveys and Roundtables – Beginning in April, we will invite students, graduates, employers, and law school representatives to share their perspectives and help shape our future work.
  • Help Build our Research Base  – Help us build a contact base of graduates and employers by sharing the goals of the NLMA so we can include important voices in our research efforts.

Share your interests, contacts, or sign up for our advisory councils on our Contacts page.
